Inez Sez Sesame Cookies

Surprisingly habit-forming
Be sure to toast the sesame seeds


1 cup sesame seeds, lightly toasted
1/4 cup coconut (optional)
1/3 cup finely chopped nuts
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Cream together butter and brown sugar; beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in flour,
baking powder, soda, and salt; mix well. Blend in coconut and chopped nuts.

Drop dough by spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet; flatten with tines of a fork.

Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10-12 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.
